Well first I'm going to tell you the single-handed reason we can't find focus and secondly, I'm going to tell you exactly how you'll benefit in the future from the decisions that you make now so let's get into it.
If you haven't had a chance to read last week's blog, then you should definitely go over and check it out I'm going to piggyback a little bit off of what I said I broke down trusting God and why it was so frustrating waiting on God when you don't trust his timing. I heard the saying comparison is the thief of joy or something like that I believe it to be true I think distraction is also taking something away that's precious distraction may be the thief of time something we can't get back.
You see if we spend today worrying about tomorrow or tomorrow worrying about yesterday then we rob ourselves of time and the control we have right now. we don't have unlimited amounts of time so how do you counteract this? well, I believe it's trust if you have a firm foundation in our trust in God then I think you can utilize that trust by filtering the anxiety that you have around tomorrow and the fear taking you away from today.
There's something very grounding about truth when we know that we know it's easy to move past thought of what if and plant ourselves in what is. we can become completely confident that God has every single moment of our lives taken care of and he's fully in control and the comfort that that brings is unmatched we can prioritize our time today and show up exactly who we want to be without regret or overthinking we can just be. I don't think there's a single thing wrong with planning for tomorrow, but we can't get so lost in tomorrow's plan that we miss all the opportunities in today.
So, if you find yourself rushing to the finish line or to a completed goal, to a prayer to be answered, and it just doesn't feel good, take a moment and filter that emotion through your foundation of truth. The truth is God's timing is perfect the truth is the Lord knows exactly where you are and exactly what you need the truth is we won't always be in this place forever the truth is God is faithful the truth is he keeps his promises.
So, let's dive deep into the moments that we have right now whether it be with our children or your friends your pets or job your ministry maybe it's a YouTube channel you're working hard at. or you're just waiting for your moment or like me for your blog to take off or baby to return home or for an empty nest. I think the best thing that we can do is give our best to the moments that we have to the moments that were in right now and know and trust Gods Plan for us is greater than anything that we could ever imagine and that's exciting, that's joy.
