Usually when something takes our attention away from the present moment. we like to think of it as a distraction, we can easily become distracted and taken away from the very moments that are in front of us. Perhaps It's because we're either distracted by the future or the past the excitement of becoming or the fear of not going anywhere. Maybe it's the fear of repeating the patterns.  WHAT WISDOM DO YOU CLING TO WHEN YOUR FRUSTRATED IN THE WAITING PLACE? when your soul is on fire for God it's so easy to find momentum to keep going while waiting on an answered prayer. Well, I get so frustrated with the stop and go. you know when you keep checking to see if God checked your box yet. Maybe you have experienced this same frustration. I had to come to grips with a very ugly truth over the weekend, but I am so Thankful because its true what they say the truth shall set you free.       God reviled to me that the reason I get frustrated in the waiting is because I didn't trust gods timing. with the culture of today you are either it or you Arnt.  I'm talking about the perfect mom culture   It's incredibly easy to feel like you are just not cutting it because you look around and everyone seems to have it together schedules, routines and the social esthetic of motherhood is perfect but in reality, motherhood is messy. It's not beautifully color coded. but it is remarkably beautiful. I'm eleven years into this mommy stuff and let me be the first to say it's always been a beautiful mess.  What do we hear all day? That's right it's mom and that's a beautiful thing. But who are you outside of parenting? This may seem like a loaded question trust me it's not. when I had my oldest child, it was easy to be me outside of just parenting.  once you start adding more children to the family you can be buried in the number of moms you hear in a day oh and don't get me started on how many times you can be called mom in an hour. ultimately this will lead to questions like who I am outside of motherhood well I remember asking myself this after my 3rd child and I didn't have an answer.
